 The
twenty-second ministerial session of the Economic and Social
Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) was held at the United
Nations House in Beirut from 14 to 17 April 2003.
ESCWA sessions, which are held biennially, are the principal
policy-making organs of the Commission and provide it with the
major directives for its work.
