Deputy Executive Secretary - Mr. Nadim Khouri On August 22, 2011, Dr. Nadim Khouri, joined ESCWA as the Deputy Executive Secretary. Dr. Khouri, a national of Lebanon, is transferring from a sister UN agency, the International Fund for Agricultural Development, where he was the Director of Near East, North Africa and Europe Region for the last three years.
