E-Government is a term describing the government using IT systems extensively to achieve its functions, tasks and provide its services to individuals and groups. E-government is defined as the effective comprehensive use of ICT systems to facilitate and accelerate transactions with high accuracy in the government agencies (government government) and transactions linking them to the citizens (government-citizen) and business sectors (government-business).
Note: This definition is taken from the document "e-government-peculiarities of the Yemeni status and methodology of achieving ambitions", presented by NIC to Shoura Council, Yemen.
