Lebanon: Exchange of Information and E-Government Development

" In the near future, the exchange of information will lead to minor improvements but will have a limited effect: So far, none of the ESCWA countries has achieved an e-government status that would be of envy to other countries in the region. Most ESCWA countries will not want to emulate the experience of others in the region as they will have more advanced and more successful e-government implementations to look up to. At most, ESCWA countries can compare their current shortcomings in the hope that other countries will benefit by avoiding the repetition of the same mistakes.

If, on the other hand, the e-government implementation of an ESCWA country proves that it can compete with the best of them internationally, this can have a very positive effect on e-government implementations in the region.

Do you think that the exchange of experiences between ESCWA countries can boost the development of e-government in the region? How?
