Re:

" The following are imperative to develop synergies and collaboration among the ministries: 1. A central eGovernment strategy to ensure that all ministries work towards a common vision in a collaborative fashion. The national eGovernment strategy for Bahrain has been approved and is currently being implemented.2. A strong champion and an inter-ministerial committee to iron out any integration issues and ensure collaboration. The Kingdom has formed two committees§ The Supreme Committee for Information and Communication Technologies (Headed by his Excellency, the Deputy Prime Minister, and includes ministers as members. …§ The Technical Committee for Information and Communication Technologies  (TCICT) which has the civil servants from the various ministries on board to help monitor eGovernment Initiatives in the Kingdom.3. Common Standards and policies: A consistent set of standards and policies such as those for data exchange, meta data, security etc. will facilitate the ministries to share information seamlessly. An Enterprise Architecture framework is currently being drafted to ensure the right use of technologies and  seamless integration across the agencies and Ministries.4. Establishing inter ministry initiatives: It is essential to define projects based on end service delivery rather than in “Agency-Silos” to ensure the agencies / ministries collaborate for integrated delivery of services. The Kingdom has formed initiatives such as G2B Gateway, Real Estate Services, Tourism, Social Information System which are multi-agency projects so as to ensure single-window delivery of services.5. Integrated channels for service delivery to provide “single-window” delivery of services. The Channel Strategy (a part of the eGovernment Strategy) plans for delivery of services via multiple channels including Citizen Services Centers (including self-service kiosks), Online Portal, Mobile and Contact Centre.  The eGovernment Portal has already been launched and  Post offices are currently  offering services for various ministries 6. Incorporating International Best Practices from Government and Private Sectors. Learning from world wide good practices in collaborative government such as shared services etc and the private sector in customer service excellence. The eGovernment Strategy for the Kingdom aims at incorporating international best practices to enhance its service delivery and increase the value to the end customers. "
