6th ICP Regional Workshop for 2011 round in Western Asia region

Objective of the Workshop:

• The Workshop focused on four main objectives:
  
  - The validation of the quarterly and annual Household Consumption price data;
  - The presentation of the newly developed manuals for the validation of Machinery and Equipment and Private Education surveys;
  - The validation of special surveys data;
  - The improvement of input data quality and reliability in order to meet the international comparability standards and to generate enhanced preliminary PPPs.
   

Attendants:

The sixth ICP Workshop was hosted by ESCWA at the Central Palace Hotel - Istanbul, where a total of 28 participants attended.
The meeting hosted twenty three representatives from all twelve participating countries including price experts and national coordinators. It featured also representative from the World Bank.
