The reconstruction and rehabilitation of Iraq will require enormous resources and calls for the participation of experts not necessarily available in Iraq now. This effort will be a multi-national one and is anticipated to involve many of the UN agencies and other international organizations and NGOs, in addition to a future Iraqi administration and government.

This Web site aims therefore to build a database of experts, from both the sizable Iraqi communities abroad and other experts who might be potentially useful to this reconstruction effort. Of the large Iraqi community of experts working outside Iraq, many of them will be too happy to contribute to the reconstruction effort for short or long-term assignments in Iraq. For non-Iraqi experts there will be a number who had experience in reconstruction activities in post-conflict situations in other countries such as the Balkans and who are willing to make use of that experience in Iraq.
