ACTIVITIES IN THE PIPELINE : : SCP : : Syria : : Qusaybeh
Qusaybeh is in an impoverished rural are with relatively high unemployment. Population is around 3,500 people. Although there is a village by this name, Qusaybeh in fact is a community of 5 villages within a radius of about 2-3km. There are several schools in the area, and all of the villages are connected to the electricity grid and have telephone links. Concerning electricity the community is privileged, as there is no rationing. The region is relatively rich in water resources and there is cattle farming. There is excess milk, which is not being made use of efficiently and profitably.
