ACTIVITIES IN THE PIPELINE : : SCP : : Yemen : : Taiz
The MTCC in Taiz is located in the headquarters of the Attakaful Association, in Houban, one of the regions that make up Taiz.
Houban has a population of 5,500, working mainly in trade and farming, and it is well-known for providing travelers with various services, due to its prime location on the route to the cities of Aden and Sana'a. This village also has several industrial factories, employing over 10,000 people, almost double its population.
The level of education among the population of Houban is similar to that of Taiz, but it still lacks cultural and educational centers; as such a conscious effort has been made to provide people with training courses, especially in IT and computer skills.
