1. Technology Incubators in Lebanon
A. Berytech
Berytech was established in 2001 by Saint Joseph University and is
now functioning at its full capacity. In addition to a business
incubator for start-ups, Berytech includes a business accelerator
for newly born companies and business hosting facilities for
already established SMEs. Berytech has partnerships with countries
in Europe and is member of the Network of European techno-parks.

2. Science and Technology Parks in Lebanon
A. Beirut Emerging Technology Zone (BETZ)
BETZ in currently under development by the Investment Development
Authority of Lebanon (IDAL) in cooperation with the Municipality
of Damour in a land area of a million square meters. It is planned
that BETZ would include among its facilities an incubator for
start-ups in ICT and other new technologies.

B. Other projects in Lebanon
There are plans for the establishment of a technology incubator by
the Lebanese National Council for Scientific Research as well as a
technopole by the University of Balamand.
