Population Information Network - Western Asia (POPIN)

NEW INTERNATIONAL YEAR AND DAY - On 18 December, the United Nations dedicated a year to young people by proclaiming 2010 the International Year of Youth, commencing on 12 August 2010.  The Year will aim at encouraging dialogue and understanding across generations.
