Department of Statistics (DOS)
The Department of Statistics (DOS) conducts censuses and sample surveys to collect population data. In addition it receives data from vital statistical records. Population and housing censuses have been carried out in 1952, 1961, 1979 and 1994. DOS compiles various periodical sample surveys on subjects such as Fertility, Mortality, Migration, Labour Force, Family Health. DOS receives vital statistics from the civil status records such as Births, Deaths, Marriages, Divorces. |

Jordanian National Information System
The Jordanian National Information System site connects to more than 100 public organizations who produce statistics and information of interest to the public. The National Information Centre maintains the site to provide easy access to the full range of information, textual and statistical, generated by these agencies for policy analysis and general research. |
