Infant Mortality Rate of Lebanon declined from 44 infant deaths per 1000 live births during 1980-1985 to 20 per 1000 by the year 2000 and is projected to drop to 12 infant deaths per 1000 live births by 2020-2025.

Life Expectancy at Birth increased from 65.8 years between 1980-1985 to 72.6 years between 1995-2000 and is expected to reach 76.2 years by 2025.

Fertility Rate declined from 3.79 children per woman between 1980-1985 to 2.29 per woman between 1995-2000. The rate is expected to further decline to 1.90 children per woman by 2015-2020, which is below the replacement level (2.1).  Lebanon's fertility rate is among the lowest among the Arab countries.
